It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of "Buster", a Blue Tick Hound. Buster was the most experienced cold tracker that Dead Stream Guide Service partner, Josiah Killingbeck has ever had. He was known statewide as one of the best cold tracking hounds. On July 21st, Buster and 3 other dogs started to track a 250 pound male bear. The bear failed to run or tree and turned all 4 dogs, killing Buster and injuring the other 3. One resulted in an amputation. In Josiah's words, "Buster was a once in a life time dog. There was almost no track he wouldn't take. He was a houndsman's dream dog. He was responsible for tree-ing multiple bears over the years." Buster will be missed.
