Congratulations to Mike Pando, of Northville, MI! Mike hunted really hard all week and had to wade through multiple sets of sows and cubs to finally harvest an awesome 280 pound boar on the final night of the season! Way to go Mike!! Great Job!

After running dogs for several days with Josiah Killingbeck, Arnold Woods, of Rockford, MI was able to finally harvest this nice Baldwin Unit black bear. Arnold was able to dispatch his bear with a crossbow. The bear got caught up 70 feet in a white pine after getting shot. He finally made it to the ground with a lot of help! Nice job!
Jim Morris of Grand Blanc, MI hunted his original location for five days before finally changing to a new location. He was able to harvest this nice Red Oak sow black bear!

Happy 65th Birthday to Mark Vickers, of Commerce Township, MI! Mark chased his Baldwin Unit bear with Josiah Killingbeck for over 7 miles. The bear originally treed and while Mark was getting set up for a shot the bear came down the tree and ran for another 4 miles before treeing again! After miles of walking Mark harvested this sow black bear! Congratulations !
Congratulations to Joe Reed, you came in as a warrior and did the job! Joe made a 48 yard shot with his 6.5 Creedmoor, scoring on this black bear of a life time, a 350 pound sow. Well done!

Dan Plamondon, of Traverse City was the first hunter to harvest a black bear . Dan had a lot of bears hitting his bait and was able to take a mid-afternoon opening day bear! The Henry .45-70 did it's job! Congratulations!
